New York State Department of Health Releases Adult/Pediatric Antibiotic Prescribing Guidelines Resource

11/13/2017

In response to prescribers who informed the New York State Department of Health that the current guidelines were too dense and too lengthy for easy access, “pocket” antibiotic prescribing guidelines, intended to make the process of choosing the right antibiotic in the right dose for the right duration, easier and more streamlined, have been created.

These guidelines have been posted as an electronic link in two forms:

Version 1: Suitable for posting in an office, this format should fit most office/hospital/healthcare system printers since it is an 8.5” X 11” format. The guidelines may also be bookmarked for easy reference from your desktop computer or laptop.

Version 2: Intended to be downloaded and printed out in 11” X 17” form and folded in an accordion fashion.
