Overview
This course is designed to help you prepare for ABEM board certification in the Emergency Medicine Continuous Certification (EMCC) program. An introductory session will teach you how to critically assess the articles to get the most out of your reading and study sessions. The three literature review sessions are devoted to the 11 articles selected by ABEM for its “2011 Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment (LLSA) Reading List.” These 11 articles will provide the content for the LLSA exam to be administered by ABEM. These articles will be discussed individually in three one-hour-and-fifteen minute sessions. Each faculty member will review and critique up to four articles to provide attendees with new information and how that information might change their approach to patient care. The key “testable” concepts within each article will also be discussed. At the conclusion of the lectures participants will have an opportunity to go on-line and take the ABEM LLSA exam. Who Should AttendABEM diplomates preparing to meet the Emergency Medicine Continuous Certification Requirements.
