A Three-Year Curriculum For Resident Research Education

Knowledge. Designed by the New York ACEP Research Committee, this comprehensive three-year research curriculum will advance your knowledge of the basic principles of research

Understand. Understand common research methodologies, their strengths and weaknesses and how to successfully select a design that fits your research question

Skills. Thirteen hours of didactic lectures support and complement your residency program’s mission; and will provide skills to develop, implement and present a research protocol

Registration
All those planning to attend must register in advance. Registration for residents is free. Attendings may register at $125.
 
Parking
There is limited parking at the New York Academy of Medicine. Alternate parking can be found on the street and at a parking garage on 105th and Madison.
 
Transportation by subway
  • from the east side of Manhattan: Take the #4 or #5 northbound Lexington Ave express to the 59th Street or 86th Street stop. Transfer to the #6 northbound local to 103rd Street almost to Fifth Avenue. The Academy entrance is on 103rd Street.
  • from the west side of Manhattan: Take the Queens-bound “E” or “F” train to the Lexington Avenue stop. Walk towards the back of the train and follow the signs to the 51st Street stop of the #6 (this is a free transfer, do not exit at the top of the escalator). Take the #6 north bound local to 103rd Street. Walk west on 103rd Street almost to Fifth Avenue. The entrance to The Academy is on 103rd Street.
Transportation by bus
  • From the East Side of Manhattan: Take any westbound cross-town bus to Madison Avenue. Transfer to a northbound M1, M2, M3 or M4 bus and travel to 103rd Street and Madison Avenue. Walk west on 103rd to The New York Academy of Medicine.
  • From the West Side of Manhattan: Take any eastbound cross-town bus to Madison Avenue. Transfer to a northbound M1, M2, M3 or M4 bus and travel to 103rd Street and Madison Avenue. Walk west on 103rd to The New York Academy of Medicine.
