New York ACEP will be the key advocate for high-quality emergency care and public policy relating to emergency medicine and the recognized authority on emergency medical issues.

Develop recommendations and form strategic partnerships and work plans to address crowding and diversion, to oppose a prohibition on balanced billing, to enact professional liability reform, secure appropriate emergency physician compensation and improve the staffing qualifications in the Hospital Minimum Standards (405.19) for state emergency departments.
Serve as a patient advocate

Expand the key contact network beyond key legislative leadership.

Encourage and promote chapter leader representation at the ACEP Leadership and Advocacy Conference
